Welcome to Capital Movers. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, capital-movers.ca, and any quotes, bookings, or services provided by Capital Movers (“Capital Movers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

3. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is not final until we confirm it.
We may require:
- your name and contact details;
- pickup and delivery addresses;
- move date and time window;
- details about the items being moved;
- a deposit or advance payment, if applicable.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate information about your move;
- ensure legal access to the pickup and delivery locations;
- reserve elevators, loading zones, or parking if needed;
- ensure that items are properly packed if you choose self-packing;
- clearly identify fragile, delicate, valuable, or special-care items;
- ensure someone authorized is present at pickup and delivery unless otherwise agreed.
You must not include hazardous, illegal, perishable, flammable, explosive, or otherwise prohibited items unless we have expressly agreed in writing.
5. Packing, Loading, and Delivery
We will use reasonable care in performing the services booked.
Delivery times, arrival windows, and completion times are estimates only and may be affected by weather, traffic, building restrictions, access issues, delays caused by third parties, or other events outside our control.
If we are unable to complete delivery due to access or customer-related issues, additional charges may apply.
6. Payment Terms
You agree to pay all applicable charges for the services provided, including any approved or necessary additional services.
Payment terms may include:
- deposit requirements;
- balance due on or before moving day;
- charges for additional labour, materials, waiting time, storage, or access-related delays;
- taxes as required by law.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the service.
If payment is not made when due, we may charge reasonable late fees or collection costs where permitted by law.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
You may request to cancel or reschedule your move by contacting us as soon as possible.
Cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply depending on:
- how much notice is given;
- whether labour, trucks, or supplies have already been reserved;
- whether services have already begun.
If you use this section, make sure it matches your real policy.

Deposits are non-refundable within [24/48/72] hours of the scheduled move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Delays and Uncontrollable Events
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- severe weather;
- road closures or traffic incidents;
- building restrictions;
- labour disruptions;
- vehicle breakdowns despite reasonable maintenance;
- government actions;
- emergencies or other unforeseen events.
In these situations, we will try to reschedule or continue the service as reasonably possible.
9. Loss or Damage
We take reasonable care when handling your property. If you believe an item was lost or damaged during the move, you must notify us as soon as possible.
We are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from:
- poor packing by the customer;
- pre-existing damage;
- fragile or high-risk items not disclosed in advance;
- items packed inside boxes or containers by the customer;
- mechanical or electrical failure of items;
- delays caused by events beyond our control.
Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within [7] days of delivery and include enough detail for us to review it.
If you offer any specific valuation coverage or liability limits, add them here clearly.
10. High-Value and Prohibited Items
Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not accept responsibility for cash, jewelry, collectibles, important documents, passports, securities, heirlooms, firearms, hazardous materials, or other unusually valuable or regulated items.
Customers should transport such items personally unless otherwise agreed.
11. Storage and Unclaimed Items
If we provide storage services, additional storage terms may apply.
If items remain in storage or are otherwise unclaimed after repeated attempts to contact you, we may charge ongoing storage fees and take other steps permitted by law after reasonable notice.
12. Website Content and Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, branding, logos, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Capital Movers and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written consent.
13. Third-Party Links
